Here are some answers to the most common questions users have:

What sort of computer do I need to run this software?

You will need a Windows-based computer, equipped with a CD-ROM drive.

Can I copy the CD-ROM to my hard drive for faster operation?

Yes, you can copy the entire CD-ROM to your hard drive, and this will significantly improve the speed of operation. Copy all folders from the entire CD-ROM to your hard drive. Be sure and place the DATA directory from the CD-ROM into the root directory of the hard drive you are using. When first running the software, be sure and click on the correct drive letter to indicate the location of your drive.

Can I put the software on my network?

The CD-ROM is sold as a single-user license version. If you want to put it on a network, you must contact us to obtain a networked-license version. Contact us at network@GamutsInRadiology.com

Can I use some of the images in my lectures?

Yes. You we have added an image export function to the software which makes it easy to extract images. Right-click the mouse over any image you want to save. In the window that pops up, select both a destination directory and an image file name. The image will be saved as a JPEG file, which can be imported into most presentation software applications. Please note that you can freely use these images for educational purposes, but for any commercial uses you must contact us for permission. Contact us at help@GamutsInRadiology.com

I'm not quite sure how to use the cross-indexing software. How does this work?

The best way to understand cross-indexing (and some of the other features of the software) is to view the file called How To Use The CD-ROM found in the root directory of the CD, or it can also be viewed on-line. It only takes about 10 minutes, but will give you a good overview of the software. Click Here to View the On-Line Demo. Also be sure and thoroughly review the How To Use section in the Introductory portion of the CD-ROM.

How can I get updates to the software?

As updates to the software are released, they may be downloaded (free-of-charge) at our website: http://www.GamutsInRadiology.com/support.htm

How do I know which version of the software I'm using?

On the Introduction screen of the Gamuts software, look in the lower right corner of the screen to see the version number. You can also click on the version number to get additional information.

Is the CD-ROM copy protected?

Unfortunately yes. Due to the widespread illegal copying of CD-ROMs we have had to copy-protect this product. The CD-ROM itself can be duplicated, but the software will only run for a brief period of time until it is registered by the user.

How do I register my software?

When you first install and run the software, it will run on your computer for up to 15 days. On the opening screen of the program, you will be shown instructions on how to register the software. Essentially, you must let us know the Disk ID number of the CD-ROM, and the Registration number given to you by the software. When we receive these numbers, we will e-mail you an Unlock Code which you can use to unlock the software for permanent and continuous use. This registration process only happens once on each computer you install it on.

Will my Unlock Code work on other computers?

No, the Unlock Code we issue you is specific to your computer hardware. The same code will not unlock the Gamuts software on other computers.

Can I put the software on every computer I use?

Each CD-ROM sold comes with 2 license authorizations. This means you can install the software on two different computers (e.g. your office computer and your laptop). If this is not sufficient, please contact us to see about additional installation licenses. Contact us at help@GamutsInRadiology.com or call 925-283-7995.

What happens if I damage the original CD-ROM?

If the CD-ROM is damaged in any way, just return it to us and we will send you a replacement.

Can I make a copy the the CD-ROM?

Yes, you can make a copy for back-up purposes. The copy can also be given to other radiologists, and they will be able to run and evaluate it for 15 days. After that time, the software will become non-operational, and they must contact us to purchase a CD-ROM license for any further use of the software.

Who do I contact if I have problems?
